Terms of Use — Flip’n’Climb

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Publisher: Rémy Turpin. Contact: dixeat.app@gmail.com

These terms are written to be readable and honest, not to cover every case a lawyer would. Google Play does not require them for a free app with no account and no purchases: they are provided because saying things plainly is better. Have them reviewed if the app ever takes on a commercial dimension.

1. Purpose

Flip’n’Climb is a free app that keeps score for games of a card game. It does not contain the game: it counts the points of games you play with your own cards, among yourselves.

Installing or using the app means you accept these terms.

2. Licence

The publisher grants you a personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app, on devices you own or use.

You may not resell, rent, redistribute or pass it off as your own, nor remove its publisher or legal notices.

3. No account, no payment

The app asks for no sign-up, no identifier and no payment method. It contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. See the privacy policy for what it stores — and what it does not.

4. The score stays yours

The app calculates from what you tell it. A forgotten card, a round entered for the wrong player, a mistyped total: the result will follow the input. The final word on a game’s score belongs to you, the players. The app is a counting aid, not a referee.

Likewise, the rules sheet it offers is a summary meant to get you playing faster. In case of doubt, the game’s own leaflet prevails.

5. Provided “as is”

The app is provided as is, with no warranty of uninterrupted operation or freedom from defects. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage resulting from its use — first among them the loss of the data stored on your device, which no mechanism of the app backs up elsewhere.

Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

6. Intellectual property

The app’s code, artwork and identity belong to its publisher. The fonts used are distributed under the SIL Open Font License, whose text is included in the project repository.

Unofficial score counter for Flip 7, a card game designed by Eric Olsen and published by The Op. The game’s name, rules and artwork belong to their owners. This app is not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by The Op.

7. Duration and termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which erases all of its data.

8. Changes

These terms may be amended, in particular if the app changes in nature. The version in force is the one published at this address, with its update date.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, at the contact address above.
